The Metal Clay jewellery making and precious metal clay courses are held in Wareham, Dorset. We have everything you could ever need (or want) for metal clay and jewellery making, and when you take a class with us you'll have a chance at looking at some of our 4,000 products!
Being located on the Jurassic Coast (England's first Natural World Heritage Site!) there are many amazing places to visit and so much to do in the area, so it is easy to keep family and friends busy while you immerse yourself in the world of Art Clay. An ideal place to come and learn more about precious metal clay.
Swanage is a beach town about 15-20 minutes drive away, with plenty of restaurants, great fish and chips, a long, long sandy beach, and a nice old-fashioned pier. There are many B&Bs in Swanage, and there are buses between Swanage and Wareham.

CLOSEST AIRPORTS
Bournmouth (BOH) is the closest airport to us, but you would need to rent a car or take a taxi from it as there are no train connections. Click here for information about getting to and from Bournemouth airport

Southampton (SOU) is a great airport, just next to the arrival building you'll find a train station with a direct train connection to Wareham, it is a short and simple 1 hour 20 mins journey away. Click here for information about getting to and from Southampton airport
DIRECTIONS
If you come by train the nearest station is Wareham. The studio is less than 10 minute walk (about 0.5 mile) from the station.
If you don't want to walk, you can book a taxi for your arrival, click here for a few to choose from.
If you don’t drive, the Purbeck Breezer (bus route 40) goes to Wareham train station from both Swanage and Poole (and the places in-between). It leaves once per hour during the day, with a 35 min journey. Read more about the buses on More Bus.
DRIVING
We’re about 10 min from Corfe Castle, 18 min from Swanage, 25 min from Poole, and 30-45 min from Bournemouth. You can also come across the Sandbanks Ferry (beautiful, but narrow and twisty 30 minute drive from the ferry). Ferries generally run 3 times/hour each way, but there can be long queues during the summer. Ferry information can be obtained on Sandbanks Ferry 01929 450 203.
Directions:
Drive to Wareham train station. Go past the station, on to Sandford Lane. Follow Sandford Lane almost to the end of the industrial area. We’re in the building you see on the photo below. If you see a HUGE rhinosarous with a rainbow horn you have gone too far (no, really!). Park in the undercroft (under the back of the building) or in any of the spaces outside the undercroft, or on any unmarked stretch of Sandford Lane.
