The Ultra Clay Pick needle tool has an extremely fine tip that cuts through clay like a laser. The perfect tool for working with templates!
A lot of needle tools sold for working with metal clay are actually knotting needles made for stringing pearls and other beads on silk or cord. While they are perfect for knotting and some metal clay tasks, they are a poor choice for cutting out clay because they have a thick tip that distorts and drags the clay. This however, is a precision cutting tool with a super sharp tip. You'll soon find this simple tool invaluable!
Ideal for silver clay like PMC and Art Clay as well as copper and bronze clay.
The tip is case-hardened spring tool steel mounted into a non-roll handle (i.e. you won't put it down and a few seconds later find it has rolled off the edge of your table). Overall length of tool is 15cm (about 7.5").

Why didnt I get this before?
Bought this because it was on the tool list for the YCMI conference. Previously had been using a scalpel for cutting out shapes but this is so much neater and easier to use, I wish I'd bought one months ago

Does what it says it should. Not done as much with it as I thought I would so not finding it that useful but that is down to me not the product and I found the product great

Precision!
I really like this tool - the tip is an incredibly fine point, so you can make the smallest hole / mark on your clay. The fact that it cannot roll off the table is another really useful design feature. There are cheaper ones, but this is such excellent quality I'd rather pay a little more as it's clearly going to last and you get what you pay for. Unlike the other reviewer, I did not find cheaper ones to be anything like the same quality of this one.

I was disappointed with this, but to be fair you dressed it up very well. I had previously checked other suppliers, who were cheaper, but I thought this one seamed real quality, only to be disappointed again, as when it arrived it was just the same as the others.
