High quality texture tiles, designed especially for use with metal clay. Lovely textures, with deep imprints, allowing you a wide variety of depth in your work. Each texture tile is 50mm x 100mm, and the pictures shown are a close up of the pattern. Spray with CoolSlip, Badger Balm or Slik Baby before placing on the clay to avoid sticking.

another clay waster
Had great plans for this mat - wasted so much clay just trying to get a small cut out - this was after fully coating it in slik baby - eventually got a small item, the clay loss is heartbreaking ~ the actual design looks good - but so much effort & clay wastage ~ **RESPONSE FROM METAL CLAY** Hi Hapi, sorry to hear this. It sounds like you may be using this product incorrectly. Please copy and paste the following link into your browser to view a video showing how to use the texture tiles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWs9wzsBL44&feature=youtu.be There shouldn't be any clay wastage or any clay sticking to the tile. You can use Slik baby as a non-stick but only use a very small amount. Just put the balm on your fingertips and then apply to the surface of the tile. Although the Slik will work, we recommend using the Cool Slip spray on texture tiles as it goes on smoothly and won't get caught in the grooves.
