Swellegant

“Swellegant!” offers a wonderful line of metal coatings and colorants. There are three steps to the range:

1 - The Metal Coatings can be used to coat most surfaces (fired metal clay, polymer clay, metal, plaster, resin, wood, ceramic, and more!). There are 5 different to choose from. This coating consists of very fine metal particles and will turn the surface of the piece into metal. You can choose between brass, bronze, copper, iron, and silver. 

2 - Once your peice is coated, or if you are already working straight onto a metal surface (say a piece in copper or silver), you can go straight to one of the three Patinas, if you'd like to add age to your piece. Rust? Verdigris? Luscious!  

3 - Then play with colour! To add color to your piece there are 8 Dye-Oxides to choose from. These are concentrated colors, but transparent. They act like patinas, soaking into the other layers of your piece and transforming all the layers.

All the metal coatings, patinas and dye-oxides can be layered in any order, as many times as you want, here a dab, there a splash until you build up the look you want.

There is also a primer (good for certain surfaces!) and a clear sealant, which we highly recommend if you are wearing the pieces as jewellery.
