Add a beautiful satin finish to your work with the two-in-one Sunshine Satin polishing cloth.
Sunshine® Satin is a two-in-one cloth; it is a micro-abrasive polishing cloth, bonded to a fine-abrasive sanding cloth.
The darker-colour side is the sanding cloth—ideal for shaping contours, smoothing out surface scratches and producing a smooth satin finish on metal.
The lighter side is a micro-abrasive polishing cloth that's slightly more aggressive than the original yellow Sunshine Cloth. Use it for cleaning, removing tarnish and polishing jewellery, gold, silver, brass, copper and other metals.
The cloth is exceptionally pliable, conforming effectively to surface contours and getting easily into crevices without creasing or tearing. Ideal for final finishing, Sunshine Satin is a strong addition to the Sunshine family!
This cloth can also be used gently on dried, unfired metal clay - use it to refine edges and getting rid of fine scratches and imperfections prior to firing.
Directions:
To apply a fine satin finish: Using medium pressure, rub your jewellery surface with the abrasive dark pink side of the cloth until a fine satin effect emerges. Please note: The more-aggressive abrasives in Sunshine® Satin sanding/polishing cloth will leave microscopic scratches - this is what gives you the satin finish on metal surfaces.
To clean and polish: Using medium pressure, rub your jewellery surface with the polishing light pink side of the cloth.
Each cloth is packaged in a resealable plastic zip-close bag.
Cloth dimensions are approximately 19cm x 13cm.
