The long steel bristles are ideal for brushing and cleaning up base metal clay, like bronze, copper, and iron. This brush will leave a satin effect on bronze and copper. A brass brush is a little too soft for these metals.
You can also use this steel brush on silver to create a brushed satin effect, it will give a light satin scratch effect. Play around with brushing in one direction only, or play with creating a criss-cross patterned effect.
