MEASUREMENTS:
Mould: 60 x 80mm
Letter: 7mm high. You need about 1gm of clay to be able to fill each letter properly, it's best to overfill the mould and scrape off the overflow before drying.
To use:
- Oil the mould.
- Use as fresh clay as possible and push it down into the mould. Overfill the mould and use the flat side of a clay scraper, or a spatula, to scrape off the overflow. Wrap up and save for future use.
- Once pushed in, turn the mould over to check the front - as it is transparent, it's easy to ensure it is completely filled.
- Smooth over the surface with a damp finger to even it out. If needed, use the back of a brush handle or a soft silicone clay shaper to push the clay deeper into the mould.
- Leave to dry in the mould, the mould can be put in a dehydrator safely. Once the clay is completely dry, push it out.
Be patient with the drying. It takes longer than you think to dry in the mould as the heat only gets in from the top and if you try to pull them out too soon, you could cause the shape to crack.
Check out this video for ideas on how to use the mould.
We recommend you test the product on the back of the mould before using it with new materials to ensure they're compatible.

Silicone Alphabet Mould
I love these moulds but unfortunately every time I use mine there are some casualties. You have to be so careful in getting them out (and I do oil the mould) and in about 50% of cases the serif bits of the letter break off. Is it possible to have them a bit bigger therefore making them a great pendant idea and also giving them strength.

Great for charms
This arrived at its usual lightening speed from metal clay ltd. It is easy to fill without bubbles and great that you can see from the other side that it is full. Size is ok for charms or if you are using them in other ways but not big enough as a pendant on its own. Easyish to remove with care, I tried filling it fully and tapping them out as I do with other moulds but these wouldn’t come out so I had to bend the mould to remove them which meant my reconstitution pot had some additions. Overall good maybe I need more practise to get them out, would be better in a bigger size.

Alphabet Mold - Cursive
Fabulous little mold, using fresh clay works well with these... great way to use up scraps... create additional letters. Do oil mold, and allow clay to dry until no marks appear on surface. After drying for maybe an hour or so the shrinkage of used medium allows for easy release of pendant charm letters.

Cursive Alphabet
A little tricky if you do not oil the mould first! Be very carefully when releasing the letters so you don't break any. Looks absolutely fabulous, very pleased indeed.
