Padico Matte Coating Resin
Ready to use coating resin for extra protection or to ad a matte effect to your resin castings.
The resin has non-yellowing colour protection properties. Once cured, it has a hard and waterproof finish, with a matte finish. Low viscosity flowing resin with minimal odour compared to other resins. Quick curing that leaves no stickiness, brush marks blend in after being applied, it even works in detailed areas.
DIp work directly into the liquid for a full coating - gives a beautiful finish.
In a high wattage (36W and above) UV light box, clear gel cures in only 2-4 minutes.
APPLICATION
Use a:
- flocking tip to appluy to small areas or for a thin coatings on sides
- nozzle (straight from the bottle) to apply to large areas
- nozzle to fill a palette or similar to dip your entire work
This resin comes with 1 or 3 applicator brushes depending on the size you purchase. Easily coat or make fine lines with the nozzle attachments, available here.
Curing time
UV-LED light (6-9W): 30 - 120 second
UV light (36W): 2 - 4 minutes
Please note
- Shake the matte coating resin very gently and slowly (to not introduce too many air bubbles) before use.
- The temperature of the resin increases whilst it cures, do not touch the piece until it has cooled down.
- People with sensitive skin or those working in environments requiring caution should wear gloves and glasses.
- The resin will start a slow cure even in fluorescent and/or natural light (even in the shade if close to a window), so keep your covered if left for any time. The shading cases are ideal for this.
- Keep lid on resin while not working, as it can begin to harden.
- All resin can eventually yellow over time.
- Store in cool and dry place out of sunlight, storage temperature 0℃ - 25℃. Use as soon as possible after opening.
- When applied to Moon Drop resin, the film may peel off due to its unique surface hardness. It is recommended to scratch the surface with sand paper #600 - #1000 before application.
