Product Description
Oyumaru Instant Mold is a fabulous reusable instant moulding material. Use it to make a mould, change it into another mould, and another mould... and so on! Re-use it over and over.
This great Japanese silicone non-stick moulding material is re-usable, so you can keep using and reusing it to make lots of different mould shapes. Perfect if you need to make lots of moulds but only need a few copies cast from each mould. It is a heat softened and reusable putty that once shaped cools and hardens instantly, and does not stick to Art Clay, PMC, polymer clay, Green Stuff, Kneadatite, Stick Putty and other common sculpting putties. This product is sometimes referred to as Instant Mold.
Oyumaru Instant Mold picks up fine detail surprisingly well. It is excellent for fingerprints. For our gamers and model makers; use it for casting replacements or making your own extra bits like: weapons, shoulder pads, armor designs, bone swords, lash whips, fairy wings, army models, nids, wargaming & faery making. You can combine several sticks to make larger moulds.
To use:
- Just put the Oyumaru block in hot water for a few minutes, and it will be soft and ready to be shaped.
- If you change your mind and want a new mould, just re-heat in water and start again! No shelf life. Can be heated and moulded over and over.
- Don't put this on your hotplate or in a dehydrator to dry your metal clay - your mould will soften and lose its shape. Only air-dry until the metal clay is dry enough to pop out of the mould.
MEASUREMENTS: Each stick is around 6cm long.
PACK SIZE: A box of 24

great product, want more!
This is absolutely perfect for 1 part molds. I'm having difficulty with the lining up of 2 part molds, but they demold very easily. It helps to have a little pull tab of material on each axis. It doesn't require any spray or powder release agents for any material I've used so far: wood, metal, plastic, resin. It's easy to reform & reuse the material to make new molds. I've got no opinion on the colors. There's not enough of any 1 color in the 24 pack to make halves of 1 solid color unless the molds are quite tiny; it's not like there is any transfer of color from the product to the molding material so it doesn't matter. I wonder if enough of the clear would make 2 part molds line up better, but i suspect it's mistakes on my part.

Oyumaru Instant Mold Moulding Compound - 24 PACK
Brilliant and inexpensive! So easy to use too. I haven't used any other moulding compounds so I can't compare, but I've had a lot of fun experimenting with this product, with some really good results.

Great
This stuff is actually a toy from japan and if you don't mind a 30 day waiting time can be got cheaper however it is amazing and worth every penny i use it to mould and minis and also to make bouncy balls thanks to just using hot water to reshape it i can use it again and again

Best ever invented
this stuff is amazing, and for the hobbyist like gold. However there is room for improvement to get finer details. Otherwise it is amazing.

Great stuff, superb results!
I could almost give 5 stars, but I don't have similar products to compare with, so I shouldn't. It really does the job and the level of detail is great! I haven't tried it that much yet but from what I can tell, it does an exact replica of the object copying. I used it to copy details from pre-cast minature (fantasy) environment object such as book-shelves with jars, sculls, books and vials to use in my own dioramas, molding with pretty good result using das pronto-clay. I expect even better results using GS or Miliput.

question
can it be used for making resin moulds ? i mean can we pour resin in the moulds created from this product ? ***** Hi Ionana, Yes you absolutely can, they are great for this! Just remember to do a quick check if you are using a resin that isn't bought from us, you don't want a resin that will stick to the moulding compound instead of releasing. Kind regards, The Metal Clay Team
