Modeling Clay Wood Formo, an air drying wooden clay, great for creating wood like sculptures!
This air drying wooden clay is made from roughly grinded natural wood, when dried it becomes hard and can be carved. It's ideal for creating wood like sculptures.
Once dry the finished piece will have a wooden texture and can be carved or 'shaved', it can also be coloured by using watercolour paint, acrylic paint or oil paint. It can be mixed with Pyroplastic clay or lightweight clay to create different designs and add colour.
Can be used with paper, wood, glass, wire and more, once dried brush gently with a cloth to give it a slight shine. If there's a breakage it can be repaired by adding a bit more clay to join.
How to use
Whilst working with the clay, if it becomes hard just add a some water little by little and knead it well. Mould like any air drying clay, once you've created your design, allow it to dry in a well ventilated shady spot.
If your design includes a flat surface it is possible that whilst drying it could warp, to prevent this turn the piece from time to time whilst it dries.
Please note
- Not water resistant.
- Not suitable for mixing with paints.
- As this clay is made with natural wood, leaving it in a humid place for a long time or putting the clay back in the bag after touching it could cause mould to grow.
- Store remaining clay in a sealed plastic bag.
