6ml Liver of Sulphur, Liquid Oxidising Solution for Silver Jewellery.
Use after firing and polishing to give a patina, oxidised, or antique effect to metals. Great for enhancing textures and patterns on the silver. This 6ml bottle of liver of sulphur is a natural and skin friendly option for adding patina to your metal jewellery. How to use:
1. Clean your silver with a mixture of baking soda and hot water before using the LOS.
2. Simply mix a few drops with warm water and dip your piece until you have reached the desired effect, then rinse with clean water. You can also dab the mixture on with a brush for special effects, or to keep it to a specific area only. Mix the LOS with cooler water to give a slower reaction, it can also give you a lovely rainbow effect.
3. Rinse well with cold water once you have reached the colour you're after.
Storage: Keep in a dark place, and replace the cap straight away to stop the product "going off". Please note: this natural solution can crystalise, this is normal and won't cause a problem. You can still mix the crystals and solution by diluting them with hot water and stirring well.

Top tip!
Don't like the result? A quick way to remove the patina from a fine silver or metal clay piece is to simply burn it off with a torch.

Perfect little portion of potion!
Just enough to bring out the detail in my small pieces, this well priced little bottle of sulphur has made a huge difference to the look and presentation of my pieces. Great starter bottle if you haven't used liver of sulphur before and want to just try it without splashing out lots of money

Liver of Sulphur
I had never used this before and was a bit nervous in case I spoiled the piece but followed your instructions carefully and watched as it slowly changed colour until I reached the effect I wanted. I found it very easy to use and was impressed with the result. I would recommend this product.

This bottle is a great way to give liver of sulphur a go. You don't need much for each use do it goes a long way. I put off buying LOS for a long time but metalclay.co.uk made it easy by outlining all the info about it.

Great oxidising
I used this product to oxidise copper sheet for a textile artwork. Excellent result, easy to use although the name says it, a bit smelly !

Really Good Stuff!
I use this to oxidise Rings and Chains. Only a few drops are needed each time (for a small batch), so this little bottle will last me quite a long time. Really pleased with the product!
