Lab Created Gempack - 5mm Mixed Colours (12 stones)
These sparkling lab created gemstones can be pushed into wet metal clay and fired in place. Guaranteed kiln safe up to 650C.
Economy pack of 12, with an assortment of colours in a 5mm round size. Colours differ slightly from pack to pack.
Did you know: Cubic zirconia (or CZ), is the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2). The synthesized material is hard, optically flawless and usually colorless, but may be made in a variety of different colors. It should not be confused with zircon, which is a zirconium silicate (ZrSiO4). Because of its low cost, durability, and close visual likeness to diamond, synthetic cubic zirconia has remained the most gemologically and economically important competitor for diamonds since 1976.

Kiln safe stones multi pack
Really disappointed with these stones- they discoloured :( **RESPONSE FROM METAL CLAY** Hi Jess - we're so sorry to hear you were disappointed with these stones. All of our gempack stones are test fired in a kiln up to 800ºC so it's very unusual for them to discolour. What clay were you using? How did you fire? Very Misleading Picture
5mm Gem stones The picture adjacent to the product is extremely MISLEADING. Not until reading the small print do you realize that you are only purchasing 12 Gem Stones for £5.95 ****Response from Metal Clay Ltd**** Hi Ron, thank you for your comment. We use the same image for all our gempacks, but is is clearly mentioned in each description what is included in that particular gempack selection. As the selection varies from pack to pack, it is impossible to have an image which shows exactly what is in the pack. I haven't used the "gems" with silver clay yet but look forward to seeing how they look when fired in the clay.
