Hard ceramic kiln shelf 5" x 5" Cordierite. Ideal for the Paragon Q 11.
This solid cordierite ceramic shelf can withstand temperatures up to 1200°C. Create multi-layered kiln shelves for firing numerous items inside the kiln by stacking kiln posts and shelves.
You always want to use a shelf in your kiln, never fire direct on the floor of the kiln. This shelf is the perfect size for the Q11, and also fits in Paragon SC2, Paragon SC2 Pro, Prometheus Pro 7, and Evenheat kilns.
Shelf Dimensions: 12.7cm x 12.7cm x 1.3cm thick (5" x 5" - 1/2" thick)
Please note: We recommend waiting for shelves to cool down to room temperature before removing from hot kilns, as the temperature change can cause stress cracks, which can lead to the shelf splitting. Of course, the pieces of shelf will still be useable, but you would no longer have a complete shelf!
These shelves arrive to us with some marks and discolouration, this is normal and doesn't affect the functionality (they ARE unused and brand new, we promise). Most marks burn off the first time you fire the shelf.
