Foredom Radial Bristle Disc Set Assortment - 26-pc
This 26pc kit includes 6 discs each of 80, 120, 220, 400, and plus A-M1 (3/32″) and A-M6 (1/8″) mandrels
The discs are made with a new type of abrasive that is superior to sandpaper, flap wheels, or other types of sanders, brushes, or abrasive wheels. They are perfect for reaching into areas with detail and irregular, curved, or flat surfaces due to their flexible bristles. Woodcarvers will appreciate how well they remove the “fuzzies” without harming any of the underlying detail.
These are very long lasting due to the 3M Cubitron and alumminum oxide grains embedded throughout the plastic bristles.
They work specifically well on hard to polish materials like titanium and valplast. In the dental lab, these discs are excellent for cleaning, pre-polishing and polishing of metals and acrylics.
Use the finer grits to smooth, burnish and polish and the courser grits to carve, grind and texture.
To use, stack the individual discs to make a brush. You will want to stack between three and six discs, depending on the application. Follow the directions in the package to ensure the discs are stacked and mounted properly onto either a hand piece or bench lathe.
Full range of grits in 3 sizes for use in flex shaft and micro motor hand pieces (9/16″, 3/4″ and 1″) and two sizes for use in Foredom’s M.BL Lathe (2″ and 3″).
Use with mandrels A-M1 and A-M6. 30,000 RPM Max Speed. Recommended operating speed for most applications is 3,000 – 18,000 RPM (5,000 for woodcarving).
