This Foredom flex shaft model is bench mounted, with a table-top dial control. 230 V version with a three pin fused UK plug.
Why is the label red rather than blue - is this a fake?!
No, the label is red to show it is a UK 230 voltage motor, rather than a US voltage. Any Foredom motor you buy in Europe SHOULD have a red label. If it is blue it is designed for 110V!
Motor Description:
Foredom's 1/6 HP, universal, flexible shaft machine runs in forward and reverse rotation at speeds up to 18,000 RPM. The M.SR combines the most important features you would expect from a Foredom - power, reversibility, reliability, and versatility - all in one motor. It comes mounted on a cast iron base, allowing for easy placement anywhere on the workbench. Comes with a 39" long key tip shafting for connecting to any of Foredom's quick disconnect handpieces.
Speed Control Description:
Speed control dial is built into the cast iron base. Switch on the motor allows you to easily switch between Forward, Off and Reverse.
Additional Motor Details:
The 1/6 HP, ball bearing series SR has 33% more power than the older 1/8 hp motors, and 66% more than the original 1/10 hp models. The added power helps to reduce stalling or slowing down under normal workloads. Ball bearings are pre-lubricated and do not require any maintenance!

- Left handed users have more control of the cutting tool
- Reverse helps to keep dust and other debris flying away from right handed users
- Alternating motor direction helps to extend the life of certain abrasives
- Reverse helps with accomplishing symmetrical grinding and carving techniques
- Reverse makes it easier to back out stuck drill bits
- Alternating motor direction makes it easier and faster to polish metals
Two year limited warranty.
PLEASE NOTE - this motor does not come with a handpiece. The Foredom flex shaft system is designed to allow interchangeability of most key tip handpieces.

Bench mount foredom drill with hand speed control
Top quality as usual from Fordedom, this unit is great for someone who is disabled with little of no foot control. Been looking for such a unit for sometime and now that I found one it has changed my work for the better, more torque, more control, more speed.
