This LX pendant hanging motor with a flexshaft is their specialised high torque and low speed motor. This permanent magnet motor is the ideal choice for jobs where you need more power and more control, like stone setting, wax modelling, and pearl drilling.
Why is the label red rather than blue - is this a fake?!
No, the label is red to show it is a UK 230 voltage motor, rather than a US voltage.
Any Foredom hanging motor you buy in Europe SHOULD have a red label. If it is blue it is designed for 110V.
Motor description:
The LX hang-up motor is strong and steady, giving you full power straight from the start. Max speed is 5,000rpm, making it ideal for using with the H.15 hammer handpiece and Foredom's drill press.
The LX ball bearing pendant rotary motor feature full power and torque from start up and throughout the entire speed range up to 5,000 rpm. They are ideal for use with Foredom's drill press. They also are well matched with the H.15 and H.15D Hammer Handpieces.
It comes with a bail for hanging.
230V version with a 3-pin fused UK plug. This motor and speed combination is CE compliant and meets all electrical and safety requirements.
Flexshaft description:
39" long key tip flexshaft, with a specialist neoprene sheath which gives you more flexibility when working. No handpiece is included with this motor, any key tip handpiece will fit, you can find all our handpieces here.
Speed Control Description:
Ergonomic foot control gives you precise and reliable speed control. This kit comes with a TXR-2 foot control, made with heavy-duty plastic and solid state electronics.
This CE compliant speed control features solid state circuitry in a heavy duty plastic housing with an extra wide footprint, low profile, and non-skid pads on the bottom. It provides smooth control throughout the entire speed range. The TXR-2 foot control looks the same as standard foot controls but it has special electronics that converts AC current from an electrical outlet to DC current, which is what the LX motor needs. This control also has a different style plug that is made to fit the motor’s shielded-type plug.
Important: Foredom's LX motor require the use of a TXR-2, SXR-2, or EMX-2 speed control. Damage will result if the motor is connected to any other speed control.
Two year limited warranty on motor and foot speed control.
