Product Description
H.15D is the Duplex version of the Foredom H.15 Hammer Handpiece. This handpiece has a hammering action rather than a rotary action, to use for stone setting, surface texturing, and decorative work.
Hammer handpieces are great for closing bezels around stones with ease - even thicker and harder metals.
"Duplex" means it has a duplex spring between the handpiece and the flexshaft. This gives you more flexibility and delicate control. Foredom recommend that only experienced users of flex shaft tools consider purchasing this style handpiece as the duplex spring can easily be damaged if used incorrectly.
Use at low speeds 0-5,000 rpm only. You can go up to a maximum of 7,500 rpm only intermittently.
The hammer has a 1/32″ stroke. Twist the silver knurled adjustable ring on the handpiece to change the hammer’s impact; clockwise for heavier strikes, and anti-clockwise for lighter impact.
Includes a flat top tapered anvil point (HP10177).
Please note: The handpiece requires periodic lubrication.
More anvil points are available as a set or individually; 6 different shaped Anvil Points (HP10171, HP10172, HP10173, HP10175, HP10176 and HP10179); Pave Point (R15PT), and Stylus with Carbide Tip (HP10212).
D
Size: 9-5/8″ long, 1/4″ dia. at tip
PLEASE NOTE:
Duplex springs are subject to breakage and are NOT covered by warranty. They are made of special steel, double wound tubular construction with a protective flexible spring cover. Replacement springs (HP76) are available and can be installed by the user. Foredom recommend that only experienced users of flex shaft tools consider purchasing this style handpiece. For most users, the “straight” handpiece (H.15) is the preferable solution. Has a standard key tip connection to standard key tip shafts ONLY.
