Foredom A-M7 Tapered Mandrel Shank - 3.17mm (1/8")
These tapered (spiral) mandrels allow you to screw the accessory down onto the threads of the mandrel and, once rotation begins, it will automatically tighten onto the widening taper. The open thread design provides good stability for the whole accessory.
Maximum and recommended speeds depend on the type and size of accessory, as well as the mandrel in use. As a general rule, smaller accessories and mandrels can be used at higher speeds than larger accessories and mandrels. It is a good idea to follow the recommendations that come with both the accessory and the mandrel you are using.
