Firescoff® - the award winning flux! As a Firescale Preventer & Heat Shield & Flux, Firescoff replaces flux, firecoat, and pickle. Works as a high performance flux for both hard and soft solder.
The revolutionary all-in-one Firescoff® is a spray-on nano-technology heat activated ceramic coating that provides a consistent solder flow and unbeatable protection against fire scale.
In addition to protecting gemstones and metals, Firescoff preserves the original polish, colour and patina of precious metals. It works wonderfully with silver and most other precious metals.
Firescoff is completely water soluble in warm water, so it eliminates the need for acid-based pickle solutions—making your soldering safer and faster.
Simply warm your work gently, spray on Firescoff, reheat to coat, solder your piece, and then rinse clean with warm water!
Before soldering heat slowly until the Firescoff turns white, and then you're ready to go. On smaller work you can also apply with a pin point dropper bottle to avoid wasting spray.
Firescoff flux is non-flammable; fluoride and chloride free.

Tip: if using paste solder, apply the solder first, then the Firescoff.
Tip: if kept at low temperatures, crystals may form in the bottle, clogging the spray. Simply place the bottle in hot water for 5-10 minutes to dissolve any crystals.
