Product Description
25g Crystal Super LED & UV Resin, perfect for jewellery making!
UV Resin is a great way to add colour to your jewellery, or to set and trap precious keepsakes, creating wearable mementos. It is a clear transparent gel, which can be used coloured or left clear. It can be applied to a wide range of different materials, our favourite is of course to use it with metal clay!
This new one-part crystal clear LED & UV resin hardens quickly, has low viscosity but high clarity! With the help of a UV/LED Lamp, the Crystal Resin cures in minutes, rather than hours and it's super easy to use!
Lacking patience? Want instant results? This resin is for you. It sets crystal clear and rock hard. The bottle has a useful applicator tip, making it easy to apply - no messing about with scooping thick gooey gel out of pots with sticky spatulas. You can apply the gel from the pot directly onto your piece, as it is quite thick it is easy to handle. The thick viscosity of the gel allows you to create slightly domed effects easily.
The gel cures rock hard in minutes with a UV light or an LED light. The time of curing varies on the UV or LED light and if you add colour or any other decorations to the resin.
This product is hardened with UV Lamp/LED Lamp (range of wavelengths: 365~405nm)
・LED & UV Lamp (6W) Approx. 1-2 min.
・UV Lamp (36W) Approx. 2-4 min.
・Sunlight (sunny day) Approx. 4-10 min.
Make sure your UV light can reach all the corners of the gel - add, and cure, in thin layers, ideally not thicker than approx 2mm. If you are working with moulds, you definitely want to cure in layers, and consider angling your piece differently throughout the different curing sessions to help the light reach all the resin.
It can be coloured with any of the resin colours we sell, and any of our PearlEx powders will give you gorgeous colours and effects, including shimmering duo-colours that shifts colour.
Easily coat or make fine lines with the nozzle attachments, available here.
For best results, store the pot in a dark environment under 20C. Use as soon as possible once open, and always replace the lid immediately after use.
For more information on how to work with UV resin, see UV Resin - How, Why, and When written by Petra Cameron who has worked extensively with UV resin.
Use in a ventilated area, and not near an open flame. We highly recommend you protect your skin and eyes whenever working with any type of resin.
