10cm Sterling Silver Bezel Wire Strip - Royal Leaf, perfect for making your own bezels and really adding that extra something to your natural set stones.
A 10cm length of gorgeous sterling silver leaf bezel wire! This leaf wire is surrounded by tiny berries to add extra detail to your jewellery! Bezel strip can be easily used to created a variety of settings from flat rings to short cylinders.
Fine silver flat wire can be fired with all types of silver clay, or can be soldered on after firing. Make bezels for stones and cabochons with this flat wire - ideal for any stone that can't be set into clay before firing, like a lot of natural stones. Simply shape around your stone, cut the ends straight so they match up. Solder close or simply leave as is, then press into the wet clay.

To use:
1. Simply shape around your stone, cut the ends with metal sheers straight so they match up. Make sure the stone is the correct height for your bezel. Choose a bezel wire with a width no more than a mm than the height of your stone's curve. 1mm is plenty to keep your stone safe a secure!
2. Make sure edges are completely straight and clean. Solder closed with flux or simply leave as is, then press into the wet clay (Keeping the stone away from any heat!)
3. Sterling silver bezel flat wire can be fired with all types of silver clay, or can be soldered on after firing.
4. Once the bezel is attached to your piece, you can set your stone. Make sure all firing and soldering is complete by this stage. E.g. adding bails or earring pins.
5. Place the stone in the bezel cup and set the stone with a bezel rocker or pusher of your choice!
6. Burnish the wire to a high shine.

Leaf bezel wire
Really elegant bezel wire. It is fiddley to bend to shape as you need to shape each leaf. That being said it may be easier with larger stones with a more sweeping curve than the smaller stones I was working with. However the finished look is worth the perseverance and the time getting it just right
