This Art Clay Silver Ring Kit includes must have ring making essential tools and a fantastic instruction booklet, with steps, tips and projects!
Each Kit includes the following:
- A cardboard ring size scale (clear instructions how to use in the booklet)
- A wooden ring mandrel (to make your ring on)
- A Burnisher - to burnish your ring after firing to achieve a mirror polish finish
- A colour Instruction booklet which contains the following: 4 steps to making your own Art Clay silver pieces (Modelling, Drying & Repairing, Firing, Finishing); Handy tips for every stage; 10 Art Clay Silver Projects with photos and steps, covering 5 ring projects and 5 pendant projects.

I absolutely love silver clay
I actually struggled with ring making with this set and clay .... its a shame as I've made some fab other stuff ... but I struggled sadly

disappointing
Lacking starter information to successful first attempts, no language translation from Japanese into English - feel could be a more useful approach than this. The ring kit should include full English instructions (not Japanese) so perhaps there's been a mistake? Although the instructions are quite thorough, the ring kit was not designed as a metal clay starter kit so It is recommended that you experiment with the basics of silver clay first before moving on to the ring kit. It's an ok starter kit
Was a little disappointed with it though I should have read the description better. I just read Art Clay Silver Ring Kit and assumed it would be everything i needed, including a small amount of clay, there's no clay included. The Japanese ring sizes take a bit of working out which isn't a great hassle, a quick Google search brings up a conversion chart. Both wooden mandrels are well finished though unmarked and the leaflet does have steps to create a ring as well as other information. For me, I already have wooden mandrels and a plastic ring template in my arsenal. All in all, it's a good kit for building up tools **RESPONSE FROM METAL CLAY** Hi Gordon, Thank you for your review. Lovely Kit
This kit includes everything you need to make some gorgeous rings (and the principles apply to other jewellery of course). The step-by-step instructions are very helpful and informative. The only tiny issue is translating the ring sizes from Japanese to English, but that's easily solved with an internet search!
