Product Description
Bank Script Silver Foil, add detail to your jewellery with these cursive alphabet foil sheets.
These silver foils are exclusive from Art Clay. They are really gorgeous to add that extra detail to your work. See image 2 for an example, this ring has been enamelled over the top for a gorgeous frosty colour look. These sheets are perfect if you want to create initial charms or pendants.
Very similar to use as our Keum-Boo gold foil. Apply to your fired piece. Pre-heat your kiln to 800 degrees celsius, place the silver foil in position (a tiny bit of moisture can help, such as a drop of water), place in the kiln for 1 minute, take out and burnish.
It is probably best to fire your piece on a fibre shelf, as this can be removed with tweezers and placed on a heatproof surface, such as a fibre brick. Hold down the piece with your tweezers and burnish with an agate burnisher with your free hand. You want to work quite quickly, while the metal is hot. Try and keep your burnisher cool by quenching it in water, this should help avoid the foil sticking to your burnisher.
We haven't tried it yet, but wondered if it would work on glass, or between some glass sheets when fusing? Let us know if you try it out!
