3M Polishing Papers - 6 Large sheets
3M Tr-M-Ite Polishing Papers - could this be the best abrasive there is for mirror polishing silver, acrylics, resin, wood and many other materials?
They're made from micron sized abrasive particles, slurry coated onto a non-woven synthetic backing. They are soft, cloth-like and paper thin, so wraps smoothly around your piece. You can also wrap the paper around a wooden stick, if you only want to polish the raised surfaces on your piece, for instance, if you have oxidised the piece.
The precision micron grading provides a uniform, consistent finish. These are sometimes referred to as Tri-M-Item papers, or lapping papers. They really give you the most fantastic mirror-like finish on metal clay and silver.
Works wonders on silver clay, sterling silver, and also resin like Alumilite Resin, plastics, acrylics, polyurethanes surface composites, and. Use to remove scratches and bring back transparency to acrylic and polycarbonate. The precision micron grading provides a uniform, consistent finish.

To hand finish your work to a mirror finish, start with the coarsest grit and work to the finest grit. When you see uniform fine lines, move to the next grit. Do not skip grits or you won't get a mirror finish. Grits are colour coded for easy identification.
Each sheet is 21.6cm x 27.9cm (8.5" x 11"). This is a US Letter size, which is very similar to an A4 sheet (A4 is a little taller, and Letter is a little wider of the two).

- 1 x Light Green - 1 Micron / 8,000 grit
- 1 x Mint - 2 Micron / 6,000 grit
- 1 x Pink - 3 Micron / 4,000 grit
- 1 x Blue - 9 Micron / 1,200 grit
- 1 x Grey - 15 Micron / 600 grit
- 1 x Green - 30 Micron / 400 grit
TOP TIP - Write the grit with a marker pen on the back to help you identify the grit even when it gets a little dirty.

Very good product
Quite complete in the different grit size. All sheets are A4 size, but can perfectly be trimmed in smaller pieces. I have ordered this product a couple of times now as it suits my needs.

Great papers
These are amazing for polishing (especially with a dot of T Cut). I'm using them on Richlite, Corian, Casein, Galalith, Cellulose Acetate, Acrylic and Kirinite amongst others and am very pleased.

My new favourite polishing papers! They don't crease like sandpaper can, and are great for wet sanding.
